4. Why isn’t the printer feeding paper?

A : The possible reasons are as follows.

① Print Paper Issues

  • Paper not properly loaded: The printer’s paper feed sensor may not detect the paper. Ensure that the print paper is neatly inserted into the paper tray, and when loading the paper, leave a small portion of the paper sticking out of the machine.
  • Mismatched paper type: If the paper inserted does not meet the printer’s requirements (such as being too thick, too thin, or damp), the printer may not recognize it. It is recommended to use the official standard specification print paper.
  • Insufficient paper remaining: The remaining print paper may be too little to support the next print job, which can prevent the printer from properly picking up the paper.
  • Solution:

When replacing the print paper, make sure it is tightly rolled and not loose; a portion of the print paper should be sticking out of the machine.

Check if the type of print paper meets the printer’s requirements and avoid using special types of paper.

Check and replenish the print paper in a timely manner.

Check if the print paper is properly loaded. After loading the print paper, press and hold the power button to turn on the printer. After the printer is on, double-click the power button to print a test page. If the test page prints out normally, it indicates that the print paper is correctly loaded; if the test page does not print, it means the print paper is not properly loaded.

② Printer Issues

  • Question: Dirty/Aged Paper Feed Sensor or Rollers: The paper feed sensor or rollers inside the printer may be covered with dust or paper debris, preventing normal paper detection.
  • Paper jam inside the printer: Even if the printer shows “out of paper,” it may be because there are residual paper fragments or a paper jam inside, causing the sensor to falsely report.
  • Solution:

Turn off the printer power, open the paper tray or rear cover, and gently wipe the rollers with a dry cloth. If the rollers are slippery or shiny, you can lightly wipe them with an alcohol swab to enhance friction.

Check the inside of the printer for any residual paper fragments or paper jams and carefully clean them out.

If none of the above methods resolve the issue, please contact after-sales customer service or technical support personnel, providing a detailed description of the problem and the printer’s information to obtain further assistance.。
